Assistive Devices

One of the main goals of engineering is to create a product that will be able to help make things easier. Many disabled people use products that were engineered to compensate for their disability. One of the devices I found was a spoon holding device. You put your thumb through the device and it holds your spoon or fork for you. Many stroke victims and people with athritus had the strentgh to lift a untensil, but they lack the ability to grasp the untensil or hold it. I think that this is the true purpose of engineering.
