Reverse Engineering of a toy:

After my partner and I took apart the flashlight, we took apart a miniture, children's toy. It had a relatively simple design to it. It was opperated by a wind up crank. We took it apart, piece by piece, just like the flashlight.

Reverse engineering of a flashlight:

We were given a worksheet and a flashlight. We had no "rules" to follow when we were taking it apart. We just began taking the flashlight apart, a little at a time. We had to document each of the parts and what their purpose was. (all pictured to the left.) After all the disecting and documenting, we answered questions about how we could have made the flashlight more durable and costefficent.
