Challenge: Make a roller coaster that has 7 different levels and 2 upside down loops.

Brainstorm: We came up with the idea of having the first part of the roller coaster being a downward spiral, wiith two loops following it. The picture to the left displays our final design copy.

Design: The picture on the left is our final desgin for our roller coaster, that we will used as a guide when we begin building the coaster.

Build: As we began building it, just like any project, we faced many challenges. We had to add extra railing and support in order for it to work. My "job" was to glue, most of the time, however, we all divided up the work evenly.

Final Project: Our final design consisted of a long spiral at the beginning and two loops following it. There is a total of 7 level changes.

Explanation:  The marble begins at the top of the spiral, as it decends it gains momentum which allows is to go up into both loops.

Finishing Touches: Last, but not least, we made a sign for our roller coaster. The name that we decided on was "Mejor Que El Tuyo," meaning: Better Than Yours, in Spanish. We made the sign using a lazer cutter/ingraver (pictured first on the right).

Presentation: The video below is our final presentation. We had to describe and explain all the steps we followed and how it worked. We only demontrated it once and it was successful!
